The editor introduces the magazine with the production name in serif emphasing a bold and strong effect towards the audience. Gives us a brief speech of the tattler magazine.
"Tatler is a fabulously targeted, sensationally accurate rifle shot to the very richest readers in the country. These people live the life reflected on our pages, both physical and virtual and boy, do they love to shop."
They use a metaphor to suggest that their product is popular and relevant.
They suggest that their magazine represents how rich people live which means that people wanting to know how rich people live will buy their magazine.
Suggests that they advertise in their magazine by saying that the people who read their magazine love to shop.

Serif title and sans serif , the serif gives off the idea that the tatler magazine is quite posh and is linked to royalty. The sans serif is linked to modernity which connotates a new edgy feel.

the blue red and white link to the union jack flag which is a reference to the cover line about the EU and Brexit.

The central image is of Emma Weymouth who is well known and part of the aristocracy.
It looks like it is set in an expensive looking garden
her dress stands out against the background and is rather unusual due to the colours and design.

Women are represented through the cover lines which mention fashion and dresses

The stereotype of women being pretty and feminine is reinforced by the cover line "fashion fit for a queen".
The stereotype of women having no status or power is subverted by "the marchioness of bath".
The stereotype of women not caring about politics and world issues is subverted by the fact that the magazine talks about politics and their target audience is women.

The working class are not being featured in Tatler as the magazine is aimed at rich and posh people so they want it to be high brow.

holidays - a lot of people in Britain enjoy going to other countries and on fancy holidays
spa breaks - there are a lot of spas in Britain and British people go to spas a lot
cosmetic surgery - a lot of people in Britain have had plastic surgery and British people care a lot about their looks
Watches and jewellery - their are a lot of place to buy accessories and British people like to buy accessories
private schools - there are a lot of private schools and a lot of children in Britain

The readers by the title because it suggests that they like to gossip and gossip has connotations of being rude so they might think that they are being thought of as rude.
Politicians because they might think that they are making a mockery/joke out of their job

All of the front covers I have chosen include people who are considered glamorous
