Total Mark = 14 = Grade 4

WWW - This is a very solid first assessment with some good knowledge shown. Now we need to develop the exam technique needed for top level.

EBI- In Q3 (12 Mark) you need another paragraph with detailed and specific reference to the text. Annotations will help you do this.

- For me, Question 2 was my strongest question as I got it correct but I was able to fully explain the topic where it showed the background setting and the facial expression as a connotation.

- My weaker question had to be Question 6 as I didn't understand how to spilt the two topics into one detailed paragraph. Also, making point to further analyse the connotation is something I struggle with.

In the heat advert, Beyoncé is shown as a deluxe and divine type of celebrity which emphasises her elegancy in the advert. One connotation in the advert is that the title featuring Beyoncé's newest perfume "Heat" is specifically red and bold. The meaning behind the colour red portrays a powerful and superior background. Its clear as it clears a slow tension for the audience. Another connotation is that its more settle with a range of shades since its mostly red and black involved. I think this is made to build a deeper character in Beyoncé and so it attracts people to buy the loving fragrance.
